Jerry Poole, age 75, of Lucedale passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at home surrounded by family. Mr. Poole was born May 6, 1950 in Sunflower, AL. He is the son of the late Louie and the late Sarah Bell (Bailey) Poole Sr. He married Frances Strickland.

He was employed by Ingalls as a chipper.

He is survived by his wife: Frances (Strickland) Poole; two sons: Jereme (Katie) Poole and Joseph Poole; daughter, Amanda (Tom) Meeks; 5 grandchildren: Tiffany (Richard) Nichelson, Ashley Nicole Poole, Gage White, Harmonie O'Neal, and Preston Meeks; 4 great grandchildren: Ryder Cauley, Lawson Nichelson, Karson Nichelson, and Greyson Nichelson; sisters: Helen (Basil) Jackson, Sue (David) Tolbert, Janet (Jimmy) Flowers, Donna Nelson, and Mary And Terry Robins.

Predeceased by parents: Louie and Sarah Bell Poole Sr; brothers: Louie (Barbara Jean) Poole, Leonard Carl Poole, and Robert Poole; mother-in-law, Alice Strickland; father-in-law, M.O. Strickland.

The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 14170 Hwy 98, Lucedale, MS.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.

Calling hours will be Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 14170 Hwy 98, Lucedale, MS.

Pallbearers include: Jereme Poole, Adam Tolbert, Gage White, Jamie Strickland, James Jackson, Richard Nichelson, Thomas Meeks, Basil Jackson and Mike Strickland.
