Jesse Dilworth Smith, age 81, of Lucedale passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at home in Lucedale. Mr. Smith was born May 29, 1938 in Meridian, MS. He is the son of the late Jesse Oscar Smith and the late Lily Mae (Anderson) Smith. He married Mary Lou Hatter on August 10, 1968 in Mobile, AL. He was a retired Machinist. Mr. Smith was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Lou (Hatter) Smith and four daughters: Lisa (Glen) Kiss of Huntsville, AL, Lavenia (Dave) Napier of Mobile, AL, Tezra (Ryan) Berner of Austin, TX and Terri Howard of Mobile, AL; 6 Grandchildren: Desiree, Aleah, Nicholas, Aidan, Anna and Jesse

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 14146 Hwy 26 West, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Bruce McKenzie officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.

Calling hours will be Thursday, January 30 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Shady Grove Baptist Church.
