Jimmie E. Holland, age 92, of Lucedale passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Sparrows Hills Personal Care of Lucedale, MS.  Mr. Holland was born June 29, 1932, in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of the late Audis Wesley and the late Monna Russell (Smith) Holland.  He married Bonnie Fay Powell on June 13, 1959.

He served in the Navy during the Korean War.  He was employed by Ingalls Shipbuilding of Pascagoula, MS for 40 years test and trials department. Mr. Holland was a member of Agricola Baptist Church, R. P. Bowen Lodge # 430 Lucedale, MS as 32nd mason, Jappa Temple Shriner and the Lucedale VFW Auxiliary Post 12192. He was a farmer, he loved raising watermelons, tomatoes, cattle and bees. Mr. Holland was a avid traveler to the Great Smokie Mountains.

He is survived by one daughter: Tamera Holland Luce of Lucedale, MS and one son: Darryl Mitchell Holland of Harleston, MS; two sisters: Sue McNair of Biloxi, MS and Thelma New of Mobile, AL; He also has 4 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by two brothers: Irvin "Sonny" Holland and Audis "Danny" Holland; and five sisters, Vondie Jackson Margie Saik, Sara Ludlow, Shirley Welivar and Audi Nell Holland.

The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Larry Havard and Rev. David Newton, officiating.  The burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.

Calling hours will be Friday, March 21, 2025, from 1:00-2:00pm at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS

Pallbearers will include: Holland Luce, Marston Luce, Wesley Holland, Jamie Holland, Joel Holland, Steve Denmark, Don Corter, Malcolm Murphy, Jeremy Burch, Stephen Janssen, Mike Saik, and Sam Henderson.

Honorary pallbearers will include the members of the American Legion.
