Jimmie Daniel Pitts, age 83, of Lucedale, MS passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Sparrows Hills Personal Care of Lucedale, MS. Mr. Pitts was born December 21, 1933 in Mossville, MS. He is the son of the late William Chester and the late Clarabelle Carrolle (Keel) Pitts. He married the late Naoma Faye Cowart.

He served in the Navy during the Korean war. He was owned and operated J.W. & R. Construction of Lucedale, MS until he retired. Mr. Pitts was a member of the Jappa Shriners of Biloxi, MS: Thirty-third and Last Degree Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction; Grand York Rite Bodies of Mississippi; and Moses Cook Lodge of Picayune.

He is survived by one daughter: Wanda (Charles) O'Neal of Lucedale, MS and two sons: James (Betty) Pitts and Lester (Lynn) Pitts, three sisters: Myrtis Peacock, Lezette Johnson and Connie Stewart, and a brother: Robert Pitts; He also has six grandchildren, Jenny Fallico, Jeremy Pitts, Charles "Greg" O'Neal, Les Pitts, Jami Williams, Clay Pitts and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Predeceased by two brothers, Owen Pitts and Willie Pitts, and a sister, Helen Pierce.

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Mike McLeod, Rev. Eddie Pitts and Rev. Wendell Pitts officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Monday, August 28, 2017 from 5:00-8:00pm at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS

Pall bearers will be; Les Pitts, Clay Pitts, Greg O'Neal, Rusty Williams, Eric Pitts, and Rodney Davis, Honorary pallbearers will be; Fabio Fallico and Craig McBride
