Joan Carol Gordon, age 80, of Lucedale passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 at George Regional Medical Center of Lucedale, MS.  Mrs. Gordon was born April 21, 1942 in Georgia. She is the daughter of the late John Tate and the late Rachel (Ash) McDonald.  She married Douglas L. Gordon on June 10, 1988.

She was employed as a dispatcher with Lucedale Police Dept & George County Sheriff's Department. She retired and then went to work as a secretary for Darryl Hurt, Jr. for 9 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas L. Gordon; daughters: Michelle Mason, Tammy Miller and Lorie McRae; sons, Brian Botts, Stacy Mason and Steve Gordon;12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Clarence McDonald.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter.
