Joann A. Rouse, age 84, of Lucedale, MS died Monday, April 22, 2019 at her daughters home in Theodore, AL. Mrs. Rouse was born March 12, 1935 in Lucedale, MS. She is the daughter of the late Chester Clyde Strickland and the late Rintha A. (Cooley) Strickland. She married McKerrin Rouse on August 25, 1956. Mrs. Rouse was predeceased by her husband on February 27, 2016. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Homemaker. Joann was a member of the Rocky Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter: Rhonda Ounanian of Theodore, AL; son-in-law, Rhett Darby of Theodore, AL; grandchild, Jasmine (Michael) Bocich; great grandchild, Riley Bocich; great grandchild, Layla Darby. three sisters: Bae-Bae Williamson, Johnnie Mizell and Chestine O'Neal, and one brother: Hubert Strickland;

Predeceased by her husband, McKerrin Rouse, daughter, Roxanne Darby, grandchild, Colton Darby, son-in-law, Mark Ounanian, sister, Christine Mashburn, sister, Earnestine Tatum, sister, Annie Gay Harrison, sister, Nell Strickland, brother, Victor Strickland, and brother, Buck Strickland.

The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 2147 Rocky Creek Road, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Greg Barker officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery, Lucedale.

Calling hours will be Saturday, April 27 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
