Joe Eddins Rogers, age 84, of Lucedale, MS, went to Heaven to be with Jesus on Sunday,
September 25, 2016 at home in Lucedale. He was born in Collins, MS on November 9, 1931.
Mr. Rogers was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, was a veteran of the
Korean War serving in the Navy and retired from Quality Assurance. Mr. Rogers was a member
of First United Methodist Church. He loved history, science, geology, playing the violin, trumpet,
piano, and keyboard. He also loved boating, flight lessons, building kit cars, travel, dining,
movies and socializing with family and friends.

He is survived by; "The Love of His Life and Best Friend, Dorothy Rogers, Lucedale
3 Daughters; Stephanie (David) Evans, Daphne (Joel) Sellers, Bethne (Mike) Lillis
7 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, 1 niece, 1 nephew and many friends and family
members
Preceded in death by parents, Joe John Rogers and Lois Beatrice Eddins Rogers, brother

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, September 29 at Collins Cemetery, 2nd Street,
Collins, MS. Burial will be in Collins Cemetery, Collins on Thursday, September 29 at 11:00 am.
Calling hours will be Thursday, September 29 from 10:45am-11:00am at Collins Cemetery.
