John Robert Carlisle, age 76, of Lucedale died Saturday, September 15, 2018 at home in Lucedale. Mr. Carlisle was born May 5, 1942 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of the late Irvin "Nub" and the late Ruby Jane (Eubanks) Carlisle. He married Mrs. Shirley Welford on June 22, 1963.

He served in the Army's 82nd Airborne Division. He was employed by Halter Marine Shipbuilders as a welder. He was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church and the R.P. Bowan Lodge of Lucedale.

He is survived by his wife: Shirley Carlisle, two sons: Steve (Angie) Carlisle and Tim (Tera) Carlisle; He also has five grandchildren, Jason Carlisle, Lawson (Collin) Erkhart, Carrie Dickerson, William Carlisle, Madison Carlisle; Two Great grandchildren, Brill Carlisle and Ruby Carlisle; Two nephews, Vince (Jodi) Carlisle and Wesley (Abby) Carlisle.



The funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Barry Jemison and Rev. John Henry officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery, Lucedale.
