John Dwyer Cooley of Benndale, Mississippi was born December 29, 1970 in Pascagoula, Mississippi went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Oschner's Medical Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. John was preceded in death by grandparents Robert L and Jewel Pitts Cooley, John Edward and Rosa Russell Entrekin, his cousin Arthur Ray Pitts and best friend Jackie "Marty" Wilson.

He was a native of Vancleave and was born to LD and Darlene Entrekin Cooley. Mr. Cooley was a 1988 graduate from Vancleave High School and former Shipfitting General Foreman at Huntington Ingalls and Trinity Yachts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and mud riding with his family.

He is survived by his wife Chella Renee' Fanter Cooley; his parents LD and Darlene Cooley; daughters Heidi (Josh) Bourque; Tiffany Cooley; Kirsten (TJ) Pretorius; son Landon Cooley and stepdaughter Mycah (Vinny) Hunt Paoli; sister Bridget (Eric) Mullen; grandsons Alex and Cohen Bourque; Adrian and Joseph Cooley; John Thomas (JT) Pretorius; and nieces Kaitlyn Wilson and Taylor Mullen.

Pallbearers will be Landon Cooley, Kendall Dixon, Robert Beardsley, Jeremy Pitts, James Moser, Robert Laughlin, TJ Pretorius, Eric Mullen, Vinny Paoli, Eric Henze, Charles Busby and Chad Hiers.

Officiating the services will be Brother Stacey Simmons.

Services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 at New Life Baptist Church Hwy 57(George/Greene County Line), McLain, Mississippi.

Visitation will be from 10-11 am and services following at 11 am.

Interment will be in New Life Baptist Cemetery.
