John Kennedy "J. K." Rhymes, age 76, of Lucedale died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Mobile Infirmary of Mobile, AL. Mr. Rhymes was born July 9, 1941 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of the late Henry W. Rhymes and the late Lillie Mae (Moody) Rhymes. He married Rosemary Reeves on August 15, 1969 at Lucedale, MS.

He retired from George County Beat 5 as a Loader Operator.
Mr. Rhymes was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Rosemary (Reeves) Rhymes, one daughter: Kelly (Darrell) Pipkins of Lucedale, MS and one son: Kenny (Samantha) Rhymes of Wiggins, MS;
grandson, Dallas Rhymes; granddaughter, Makayla Rhymes; granddaughter, Natasha (fiancée Watt Gray) Pipkins; grandson, Quinton (Raven) Pipkins; grandson, Gage Herrington;
great granddaughter, Taylor Pipkins

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Antioch United Methodist Church, Hwy 57, Benndale, MS with Rev. Willie Ray Fairley officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Methodist Cemetery, Benndale.
