John R. Keel, age 82, of Lucedale passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at We Care Hospice of Moss Point, MS. Mr. Keel was born November 22, 1936 in Clark county, AL. He is the son of the late Amos and the late Missouri (Poole) Keel. He married Mae Beth Weaver on August 7, 1981.

He served in the Navy. He was a 32nd degree mason at the R.P. Bowen Masonic Lodge, as well as a Shriner. He was employed by First Chemical in the maintenance department.

He is survived by his wife: Mae Beth (Weaver) Keel, three sons: Tony (Sonia) Keel, Darrell (Jackie) Keel and David (Pam) Eckhoff, daughter: Alysa (Randy) Walker, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his daughter, Shelia Ann Keel, grandson, John Eric Keel, 4 Brothers, and 3 Sisters.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Oak Grove Cemetery, 14170 Hwy 98, Lucedale, MS with Jimmy Davis officiating.
