John Wallace Roberts, Jr., age 73, of Lucedale passed away Friday, May 23, 2025 at Mobile Infirmary in Mobile, AL.  Mr. Roberts was born July 23, 1951, in Pascagoula, MS. He is the son of the late John Wallace Roberts Sr. and Claudine (Poland) Roberts.  He married Shirley Howell.

He was a self-employed construction worker. He was the owner of Roberts Home Builders for a number of years.

He is survived by his wife: Shirley (Howell) Roberts; daughter: Monica (Grant) Dickinson of Ocean Springs, MS; son: John "Trey" (Amber) Roberts of Lucedale, MS; mother: Claudine (Poland) Roberts of Escatawpa; brother: Steve Roberts; six grandchildren: Gates Pitts, Ally (Drake) Walley, Trent Pitts, Madilyn Dickinson, River Roberts, and Ella Roberts; great grandchild: Margo Walley.

Predeceased by his father, John Wallace Roberts Sr. and his brother, David Roberts.

The funeral will be held 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Refuge Church, 6187 Hwy 63 S, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Brian Scott officiating.  Burial will be in Refuge Church Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Refuge Church, 6187 Hwy 63 S, Lucedale, MS.

Pallbearers will be Trent Pitts, River Roberts, Drake Walley, Landon Rainey, Eli Mounteer, and Kevin Raines.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Patrick and Gates Pitts.
