Johnnie Mae Gill, age 95, of Lucedale, passed away September 8, 2026. She was born February 5, 1931 to the late Eugene and Jessie Havard McLeod. Mrs. Gill was a member of Rocky Creek Church of Christ. In her later years, she travelled, alongside her husband, with a missionary group call the Sojourners. She also volunteered at the hospital with the Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Gill loved baseball, especially the Cubs.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Pam) Gill and Mark Gill; 12 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; sister, Mary Alice Goff; a host of relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Mack Wayne Gill; daughter, Donna Pursell; parents, Eugene and Jessie McLeod; brother, Pete McLeod; sister, Bobbie Jean Moffett.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Rocky Creek Church of Christ, 3211 Rocky Creek Road Lucedale, MS.  Interment will follow in Rocky Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00AM- 11:00AM on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Rocky Creek Church of Christ, 3211 Rocky Creek Road, Lucedale, MS.
