Jones Walter Franklin "Jay", 57 of Mobile, AL, formally from Agricola, MS, passed
away on Wednesday September 21, 2016 at Mobile Infirmary following a brief
illness. Jay is survived by his wife, Joann Patterson Franklin, Stepson, Stephen
Joseph Patterson and his mother, Myrtis Tanner Franklin and a host of relatives
and friends.
Jay recently retired from the Alabama State Docks, Local 1459 after 35 years of
service. Jay enjoyed spending time with his family and friends on the houseboat
and at the farm. Jay was a dedicated worker and a good friend to many. He will be
missed.
Visitation will be from 10:00am till 12:00pm on Friday, September 23, 2016 at
Sigler Funeral Home in Lucedale and a Masonic burial will follow a Magnolia
Cemetery in Lucedale, MS. at 12:15pm.
