A true citizen of Lucedale passed from this life on December 28, 2020, age 77.

Jonette Vesely was born to Joe Vesely and Ella J. Rouse Vesely on May 31, 1943 in the house where she grew up. She was a graduate of Lucedale High School and Perkinston Junior College in 1963.

She is survived by a Nephew, Joseph Leonard "Jody" Taylor, Niece Kristy Taylor, Grandniece Toni Kittrell, Grandniece Mattie Taylor, Great Grandnephew Eli Parker, and friends and relatives too numerous to list. She was preceded in death by parents Ella and Joe Vesely and younger sister Patsy Oralee Vesely Taylor.

Jonette's working life was spent mostly as a secretary, except for a short employment with the FBI in Louisville, Kentucky. She served as secretary to First Baptist Church of Lucedale for more than forty years.

If you knew Jonette, she probably was your friend. She was quick to make new friends, while holding on to old friends. She was always ready to listen, and leaves a vast number of friends who will sorely miss her.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at First Baptist Church Of Lucedale, 345 Summer Street, Lucedale, MS with Rev. John Turner officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale.

Calling hours will be Saturday, January 2 from 10:00am-11:00am at First Baptist Church of Lucedale.
