Juanita Colson, age 74, of Lucedale passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at home in Benndale, MS. Mrs. Colson was born February 22, 1945 in Hattiesburg, MS. She is the daughter of the late Myron and the late Dolley (Martin) Gillis. She married Charles William Colson, he predeceased her March 27, 2017.

She was a homemaker and a member of New Zeal Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughter: Connie (Murdock) Elkins and three sons: William (Kendra) Colson, Michael (Chelsey) Colson, and Matthew (Elena) Colson; sister: Sharon Cochran; She also has 9 Grandchildren and, 6 Great Grandchildren.

Predeceased by her brother, Ronnie Gillis, and brother, Buddy Gillis.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at New Zeal Missionary Baptist Church, , Vestry, MS with Elder Rockey Colson officiating. Burial will be in Ellen Branch Garden, Benndale, MS.
