Judy M. Miers, age 89, of Lucedale passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at home in Lucedale.  Mrs. Miers was born March 26, 1933 in Lucedale, MS. She is the daughter of the late Jesse and the late Willie (Sykes) Byrd.

She was employed by Gayfer's Department Store as a sales clerk.

She is survived by one son: Michael (Amy) Miers; three grandchildren; Mathew (Kim) Miers; Daniel (Christy) Miers and Rider Elmore; Care Givers, Ronnie and Kathey Barrow of Lucedale, MS.

Predeceased by her Mother, Willie Byrd, Father, Jessie Byrd, four brothers; William Byrd, Cranford Byrd, Edward Byrd and Ralph Byrd, Sister, Maline (Pete) Byrd Fischer, and Michael Miers Father, Edward Miers.

The Graveside funeral service will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Magnolia Cemetery, 328 Mill Street, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Jeff Morris officiating.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
