Kenneth Conyers, Jr., 68, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022. It was a beautiful morning, and as his family, friends, and neighbors would know: He had to be outside. He always had a project, or ten. He enjoyed fishing each morning with his grey-faced Golden Retriever, a dream at last from a life lived fully.

He lived with his wife of 40 years, Inge. He'd be reminded to say, "...a blissful 40 years," as if he had to be reminded at all. His wife Inge was his world and together they'd made a beautiful home where they could enjoy in their retirement together. He was as happy as any of his family had ever known him to be.

Together, they have two children, Jaret and Alyson, and one granddaughter. Ken had a significant influence on both his children, each following one of his two career paths: Law enforcement and animal training.

Ken was an Vietnam Veteran before moving on to a 40-year career in Law Enforcement. During his career, Ken served as a patrol officer, then a K9 officer where he earned back to back K9 National Training Championships in '88 and '89, before moving on and becoming a member of the SWAT team in-part as an expert marksman. Ken then furthered his career becoming a Detective, Homicide Detective and eventual Detective Sergeant for the Eagan, MN police department as well as working with the US Marshals' fugitive task force. He later continued in serving as Captain of Security with the George County Correctional Facility in Lucedale, MS. Throughout his long career in law enforcement, he earned dozens of merits and honors for his dedication and service to law enforcement and his community.

His presence was often found in silence, a testament to quiet wisdom. He understood the power of thought before words; quality over quantity; calm within chaos.

His dedication to his wife, children, and the memory of a country he loved made him a man all too rare. His memory is forever moving in the work of his children - what every father hopes for.

He is survived by his wife; Inge Hertzke Conyers, daughter; Alyson Conyers, son; Jaret Conyers, and grandchild; Ashlyn Conyers.

Predeceased by his parents, K. Laverne and Lorna Conyers Sr. and brother, Pat Conyers.
