Laura Shaw Ballow, age 89, of Lucedale died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at home in Lucedale. Mrs. Ballow was born January 13, 1929 in Franklin, TN. She is the daughter of the late Raymond and the late Sarah (Davis) Wilkinson. She married William A. "Bill" Ballow. She was predeceased by her husband, on September 26, 2007. Mrs. Ballow graduated from the University of Tennessee and the Charity of New Orleans as a Nurse Anesthetist. Laura was a member of First United Methodist Church, DAR, Elma Bristo Sunday School Class, George County Republican Women and the Tuesday Bridge Club. She was also a long time Sunday School Teacher and a volunteer at the George Regional Hospital.

She is survived by two daughters: Nancy (Michael) Turnage and Laurie (Burney) Wilson, and two sons: Thomas R. (Becky) Shaw, Jr. and George B. (Renee) Shaw,; She also has five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. grandchild, Dottie Kate (David) McInnis; grandchild, Kelly Day Shaw; grandchild, Caitlin Elizabeth Turnage; grandchild, Shelby Lynn Shaw; grandchild, Sarah Elizabeth Shaw; Great grandchild, Levi Declan McInnis; Great grandchild, Fletcher Lochlan McInnis; Great grandchild, Aaliyah Scarbrough; Great grandchild, Gunner Williams. She is also survived by one brother, George Wilkinson; one niece, Katrina Wilkinson O'Brian; and one nephew, Andy Wilkinson.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at First United Methodist of Lucedale, 5101 Main Street, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Larry White officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale.

Calling hours will be Thursday, November 29 from 10:00am-11:00am at First United Methodist Church.
