Lavonia Harrison, age 67, of Lucedale died Monday, April 17, 2017 at Providence Hospital of
Mobile, AL. Mrs. Harrison was born August 4, 1949 in Lucedale, MS. She is the daughter of the
late Shephard James Nicholson and the late Ida Marie (Davis) Nicholson. She married Jerry
Wayne Harrison on April 20, 1968 at Lucedale, MS.

She was employed by Lucedale Sportswear as a Seamstress.
Mrs. Harrison was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband: Jerry Wayne Harrison and one daughter: Theresa (James)
Dyche of Lucedale, MS; grandson, Dakota Wayne Dyche of Lucedale, MS, two sisters: Alice
Fay (Don) Hodges of Lucedale, MS and Ann (Bruce) Dyer of Lucedale, MS, and three brothers:
Edward James Nicholson of Lucedale, MS, Leon (Vickie) Nicholson of Braxton, MS and
Richard (Margie) Nicholson of Lucedale, MS

Predeceased by brother, Charles David Nicholson, brother, Thomas Harold Nicholson

The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main
St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Greg Barker officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Family Cemetery,
Lucedale, MS.
