Lena Kathleen Keel Cumbest, age 74, of Lucedale died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at home in Lucedale. Mrs. Cumbest was born November 19, 1943 in Jones County, MS. She is the daughter of the late Johnnie W. Easterling and the late Eva L. (Walters) Easterling. She married Varnie Cumbest. She was a retired LPN.

She is survived by her husband: Varnie Cumbest; two sons: John A. Keel of Lucedale, MS and Darrell G. Keel of Lucedale, MS,; 4 grandchildren 5 great grandchildren, step daughter, Jackie Pappas of VA; step daughter, Katherine Cumbest of Athens, Greece; 5 Step Grandchildren;
5 Step Great Grandchildren

Predeceased by her daughter, Shelia Ann Keel, grandson, John Eric Keel, brother, John Easterling, sister, Billie Hecktor, sister, Betty Kennedy, brother, Larry Easterling, and brother, Richard Easterling.

Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
