Linda Dianne Bennett, age 70, of Magee passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee, MS.  Mrs. Bennett was born January 15, 1954, in Lucedale, MS. She is the daughter of the late Edward Owen and the late Lucy Ellen (Howell) Cowart.

Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker faithfully supporting her husband and her extended family.

She graduated from George County High School.  She was of the Baptist Faith and for the last several years was unable to attend church due to living in Assist Living Facilities in Tennessee (with her husband) and Mendenhall (Strong River Villa) enjoy church services provided by the local Baptist Churches.

Mrs. Bennett loved her family and loved communicating on Facebook and keeping current even while living in Assisted Living Facilities and Hillcrest Nursing Home.

Mrs. Bennet is survived by two brothers: Danny Owen Cowart (Brenda) of Magee, MS and Johnny Paul Cowart (Vickie) of Lucedale, MS.

Aunt Dianne is survived by 11 nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband; William Bennett, Parents; Mrs. Lucy Ellen Cowart and Mr. Edward Owen Cowart, three Brothers; Michael Wayne Cowart, Terry Lynn Cowart and Dennis Ray Cowart and her grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Chester Howell and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cowart

The funeral will be held 11:00 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Samuel Austin Cowart officiating.  Burial will be in Progress Cemetery, McLain, MS.
