Lisa Diane Nelson, age 64, of Lucedale died Monday, April 13, 2020 at Merit Health Central of Jackson, MS. Mrs. Nelson was born August 30, 1955 in Pascagoula, MS. She is the daughter of the late Clem Merrill and the late Maggie E (Keenum) Merrill. She married Joseph D Nelson who predeceased her. Mrs. Nelson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.

She is survived by two sons: Joseph (Mary) Nelson and Jeremy (Leslie) Nelson, one brother: Bruce Merrill; son-in-law, Jonathan Butler.
Grandchildren: Lauren (Austin) Dunham, Kyle Nelson, Makenzie Murrah, Cherokee Butler, Lynn Holland, Courtney Holland, Conner Butler, Zoey Butler, Bailey Butler
Great Grandson: Luke Dunham
Pall Bearers: Jake Tanner, Boyt Tanner, Shane Blair, Wesley Nelson, Eric Nelson, Nathan Tew, John Merritt, Daniel Fairley, Ryan Woolman, Jeremy Nelson

Predeceased by her husband, Joseph Nelson, daughter, Melissa Nelson Butler, and brother, Joe Charles Merrill.

Due to Covid-19, a private family graveside service will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Helena, MS. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
