Loretta M. Mason, age 75, of Lucedale, MS passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at George Regional Medical Center of Lucedale, MS. Mrs. Mason was born June 1, 1942 in Leakesville, MS. She is the daughter of the late David Franklin and the late Nora Edna (Knighten) McLeod.

She was employed by George County School System as a bus driver.
Mrs. Mason was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by four daughters: Oneida (Mitchell) Christian, Gretta (Jason) Martin, Vera (Albert) Reed and Amelia (Gene) Reed two sisters: Mary Ann(Morgan) Farmer and Rachel (Willis) Baggett, and two brothers: Charles (Barbara) McLeod and Kenneth (Linda) McLeod,; She also has nine grandchildren; Michael Christian, Kelly Head, Braden Martin, Logan Martin, Corey Reed, Jerat Reed, Tara Reed, Leah Reed, Jonathan Reed.

Predeceased by; two brothers, A. D. McLeod and Sam McLeod, and a sister; Geraldine McLeod.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Brushy Creek Road, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Joe Lott and Rev Joseph Ladner officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery.
