Loretta W. Mitchell, age 79, of Lucedale passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at Saad Healthcare of Mobile, AL. Mrs. Mitchell was born April 29, 1940 in Leakesville, MS. She is the daughter of the late Melvin E. Welford and the late Erett (Brown) Welford. She married Bobby Gene Mitchell on March 4, 1960. She was predeceased by her husband on February 2, 2014. She was also preceded in death by Parents, Melvin & Nesa Welford; Mother, Erett Brown Welford; brother, Robert "Gabby" Welford; sister Inola Welford Jenkins; brother Douglas Welford; brother, Michael Welford and nephew, Damon Owens. She retired from the George County School System as a Secretary.

She is survived by two sons: Kyle (Mary Claire) Mitchell and Kevin (Shelley) Mitchell, four sisters: Wanda Hurlbert, Sheryl (Fred) Roberts, Patricia Welford and Sandra (Hardy) Vise, and two brothers: Bruce (Sharrion) Welford and Tony (Leslie) Welford, granddaughter, Courtney (Heath) Turner; granddaughter, Brytne (Miles) Hinton; grandson, Noah Mitchell; grandson, Jacob Mitchell; granddaughter, Emily Mitchell; granddaughter, Anna Claire Mitchell; 7 great grandchildren, special friend, Terri Sole.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale on Saturday, January 25.

Calling hours will be Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 9:00-11:00am at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS.
