Luther Dewan Roberts, age 78, of Lucedale died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Ochsner Hospital
of New Orleans, LA. Mr. Roberts was born November 2, 1937 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of
the late Curtis and the late Ina Vee (Tanner) Roberts. He married Brenda Yvonne Lambert on
February 14, 2010 at Lucedale, MS.
He served in the Army National Guard. He was a retired Truck Driver.
He is survived by his wife: Brenda Yvonne (Lambert) Roberts, one daughter: Mollie Gregory of
Vancleave, MS and two sons: Stephen Roberts of Birmingham, AL, Victor (Charlene) Roberts of
Grand Bay, AL; one sister: Barbara (Richard) Lacy of Lucedale, MS; He also has four
grandchildren. grandchild, Chase Gregory of Vancleave, MS; grandchild, Grayson Gregory of
Vancleave, MS; grandchild, Caden Gregory of Vancleave, MS; grandchild, Jake Staten of
Columbia, MS; step daughter, Lisa Cochran of Lucedale, MS; step son, Paul Sealy of Titus , AL.
The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, August 5 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church,
New Hope Church Road, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Chris Jemison officiating. Burial will be in
New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday, August 5 from 9:30am-11:00am at New Hope Missionary Baptist
Church.
