Margie L. Stanford, age 75, of Greene County, MS died Monday, November 25, 2019 at her home in Greene County, MS. Mrs. Stanford was born September 15, 1944 in Laurel, MS. She is the daughter of the late Ellis Howell and the late Minnie Lee (Wade) Howell. She married Roy Wayne Stanford on October 15, 1960. She was predeceased by her husband on January 21, 2017. Margie was also preceded in death by her daughter, Trudy Leigh Stanford.

Mrs. Stanford was a retired Bookkeeper from Williams Tractor Company and First City Saving and Loan. She was a member of the Winborn Chapel Methodist Church.

She is survived by three daughters: Becky (LeBarron) McLeod, Linda (Chris) Fallon and Judy (Greg) Mathis, grandson, Matt (Samantha) McLeod; grandson, Jake (Jamie) McLeod; granddaughter, Mollie (Benji) McLeod; granddaughter, Maggie (Dustin) Helton; grandson, Zack Mathis; grandson, Nathan Mathis; Great grandchild, Trenton McLeod; Great grandchild, Jacob McLeod; Great grandchild, Aubree McLeod; Great grandchild, Emma McLeod; Great grandchild, Elliot Helton, sister, Joyce Chipley, brother, Charles (Johnnie) Howell

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Sigler Funeral Home 4248 Main Street, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Jim Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Winborn Chapel Cemetery, Leakesville.
