Marilyn Elizabeth Ray, age 73, of Gautier, MS died Monday, January 14, 2019 at Providence Hospital of Mobile, AL. Mrs. Ray was born October 26, 1945 in Hattiesburg, MS. She is the daughter of the late Evans and the late Gladys (Knight) Hobdy. She married Nathan Ray. She was predeceased by her husband on October 18, 2001. She was a longtime resident of Lucedale, MS. She retired from the Machinist Union as a Secretary.

She is survived by one daughter: Meisha Brannan, one sister: Carolyn (Ronnie) Lambert and one brother: Bill Hobdy; grandson, Jonathan Brannan.

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Magnolia Cemetery, 328 Mill Street, Lucedale, MS. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
