Marion Devon "Von" Davis, age 77, of Lucedale passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL.  Mr. Davis was born March 2, 1943 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of the late Alvin M. and the late Lela Mae (Dye) Davis.  He married Margie Marie Shepheard on August 19, 1966; she predeceased him on November 20, 1996.

He was employed by Ingalls Shipbuilders as a pipe welder. He served our country in the National Guard.

He is survived by two sons: Tracy (Robbie) Davis and Johnny (Tammie) Davis; He also has eleven grandchildren, Nicole Davis, Kevin Davis, Braronica (Chevy) Ables, Kathy Barber, Johnathon (Tabitha) Davis, Scott (Tiffany) Greenwood, Dylan Davis, Jake McDonald, Kayla (Jake) Merritt, Rachel Davis, Cam Baria and 17 Great Grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Margie Marie Davis, father and mother Alvin and Lela Davis, brother, Charlie Davis, daughter, Mona Davis, father-in-law, Herbert Shepheard, and mother-in-law, Laurvine Shepheard.

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Monday, July 13, 2020 at Rhymes Baptist Church, Lamar St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Dale Dean officiating.  Burial will be in Rhymes Baptist Church Cemetery.
