Marquita Anne Jones McLeod passed away peacefully on Monday, May 3rd. Preceded in death by her father Horace Jones, mother Willimenia Whittington Jones, brother Keith Jones, sister Vivian Jones Marinoni, and beloved husband Alex "Big Mac" McLeod. She is survived by her two sons, Stacy McLeod of Kent's Store VA, wife Erica, sons Jordan, Conner, Mason, and Avery, and son Cris McLeod of Plumerville, AR, wife Scarlet, Daughters Emily, Lauren, sons Nathan and Tommy, and great granddaughter Addison. Other surviving family members include brother Johnthan Jones, and his wife Cindy, brother in law Otis Marinoni and a whole host of nieces and nephews, her brother in law Allen McLeod his wife Evelyn, brother in law Freddy McLeod his wife Alma, sister Anita McLeod, brother in law Kerney McLeod and his wife Virginia.

Born in New Iberia, Louisiana in 1950, she moved to Lucedale in 1965 where she met the love of her life, Big Mac. They married in November of 1966 and were blessed with two sons that they raised in Rocky Creek, Mississippi. Marquita followed her passion for both sewing, cooking, canning, and worked both industries while taking care of her family. She spent the last several years surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchild, which brought her great joy.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Bro. Paul Brashier officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery, Lucedale.
