Martha Virginia Peacock, age 85, of Greene County, MS passed away Friday, August 16, 2024. Mrs. Peacock was born June 27, 1939 in St. Stephens, AL. She is the daughter of the late William Henry and the late Mamie (Thomas) Blankenship.  She married James V. Peacock, he predeceased her on May 14, 2013.

She was an avid Alabama football fan, a homemaker, and was devoted to her family of 6 children, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and adored by the children and grandchildren of her extended family.

She is survived by one daughter: Ellie Peacock White of Lucedale, MS; and two sons: Joseph Peacock of Greene County and Grady (Mary) Peacock of Greene County.

Predeceased by her husband of 60 years, James V Peacock Sr.; daughter, Yvonne "Bonnie" Peacock; two sons: James V Peacock Jr. and Hank Peacock Sr.; grandchildren: Stuart McLeod Jr. and Hank Peacock Jr.; Son In Law, George White Sr.; Daughters In Law: Bronwyn Peacock (Hank) and Lynn Peacock (Joseph); parents, William And Emogene Blankenship; brother, Charles Blankenship; and sister, Trudy Clark.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 4:30pm at 2250 Fig Farm Road Lucedale, MS 39452.
