Mary A. Dungan, age 86, of Lucedale passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Mobile Infirmary in Mobile, AL. Mrs. Dungan was born January 3, 1934 in Lucedale, MS. She is the daughter of the late John and the late Lucille (Havard) Hempstead. She married Von Ray Dungan on April 6,1951; He predeceased her on May 1, 2008.

Mrs. Mary was a member of First Baptist Church. She was retired from Community Medical as a computer operator.

She is survived by two daughters: Beth (Willard) Tippett and Becky (Lemuel) Hembree; grandchildren: Chris (Vicki) Thomas; Pam (Brooks) Vayda; Rusty Hembree; Sheri (Jeff) Lipsey; Jeni Davis; Kelly (Holly) Tippett; Daniel (Toshia) Dunnam; great grandchildren: Kaylee Thomas; Maddie Cruse; Emma Cruse; Abbie Cruse; Landon Vayda; Jessica Davis; Rhodes Lipsey; Chaz Farrar; Conner Farrar; Dakota Bass; Andrew Bass; Braxton Dunnam; Kameron Dunnam; Bailey Dunnam; Ryver Dye; long term caregiver, Irene McInnis.

The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Eddie Davidson officiating. Burial will be in Barton Baptist Church Cemetery, Lucedale.
