Mary Evelyn Johnson, age 84, of Lucedale passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Springhill Rehabilitation & Senior Residence of Mobile, AL.  Mrs. Johnson was born June 14, 1937 in Mobile, AL. She is the daughter of the late Grady and the late Edith (Tanner) Davis.  She married James Carlton Johnson.  He preceded her in death on May 10, 2004.

She was employed by Mobile County School System as a Cafeteria Manager.

She is survived by one daughter: Linda (Wendell) Sullivan and two sons: Carl (Priscilla) Johnson and Mark (Jackie) Johnson; two sisters: Cora Lee Tanner and Nettie Stringfellow; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren

Predeceased by her daughters, Brenda Carol and Lorie Lynn Johnson, and her Siblings, Effie Davis, Essie Hinton, Selma Stringfellow, Esther Stringfellow, Irene Thornton, Eunice Kyles, Edith Mae Johnson, John Davis, Leo Davis, Bobby Goff, Louise Stringfellow.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Tanner Williams Holiness Church, Tanner Williams Road, Tanner Williams, AL with Brother Donnie Williamson officiating.  Burial will be in Tanner Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Monday, December 27, 2021 from 10:00am-11:00am at Tanner Williams Holiness Church.
