Mary Fredna "Freddye" Walley, 81, passed peacefully from this life to heaven on February 14, 2025, in Titusville, Florida. She was born on October 27, 1943, in Lucedale, Mississippi, to Marjorie McVicar Lane Tomlin and Benjamin Fred Tomlin. Though born in Mississippi, she spent much of her life in Florida, with some years in North Carolina.

Freddye was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Among her greatest joys was her marriage of 61 years to the love of her life, Jett Toxey Walley.

She is survived by her devoted children, Renee, Mark, Paul, and Derek. She and Toxey were also blessed with 23 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Her family showered her with an outpouring of love and support during her final days. She is also survived by her dear sister, Dorothy Marie Tomlin Hobby.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jett Toxey Walley; her parents, Marjorie McVicar Lane Tomlin and Benjamin Fred Tomlin; and her dear sister, Jessye Louise Tomlin Burke.

Freddye lived a vibrant and adventurous life, embracing every opportunity with enthusiasm. Her career spanned various roles-jewelry salesperson, craft fair vendor, vacation salesperson, office manager for a doctor, and right-of-way agent. No matter the role she took on, she brought dedication and warmth to her work.

She was known for her fun-loving spirit and zest for life. An adventurer at heart, she enjoyed tennis, biking, pickleball, hiking in the mountains, going on safari, soaring in hot air balloons, and even skydiving. Her creativity shone through in crafting all things Christmas and making flower arrangements. Many years ago, she sewed many, many baby blankets, some of these are used to this day. She was competitive and loved sports, majoring in tennis and then pickleball. She also cherished playing all kinds of games and she loved camping with family and friends.

To describe Freddye was to know her faith was central to her life. Once she came to clearly understand she had sinned against a holy God and needed a Savior, she wholeheartedly turned to Jesus Christ as that Savior. She diligently sought to reflect God's love through generosity and offer sincere forgiveness to others. As a pastor's wife and a devoted member of every congregation she attended, she embraced those around her with kindness and grace.

She made friends easily with her generous heart and loyal nature. She kept in touch for years with many of the people who passed through her life. Her passing has brought an outpouring of cherished memories from those who were touched by her warmth and caring nature.

A graveside service will be held on February 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Hamilton Cemetery, 23200 Ramie Farm Road, Moss Point (GPS Hurley), Mississippi, 39562. The gravel cemetery road off Ramie Farm Road will be marked with a small sign. Some chairs will be provided for those who need them; everyone is encouraged attend and should consider the weather conditions.

A second memorial service will follow from  12:30-1:30 PM at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main Street, Lucedale, Mississippi, 39452. Please note that due to travel arrangements, no refreshments will be able to be provided unfortunately.

Freddye's legacy of love, adventure, and faith will continue to inspire those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all who were touched by her faith in Christ, her kindness and her generosity. Her family wants to extend our sincere gratitude to all who loved her.
