Melinda Ann Harvison, age 75, of Lucedale, MS passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024 at her home in Lucedale, MS.  Mrs. Harvison was born May 12, 1949 in Lucedale, MS. She is the daughter of the late Joseph L. and the late Myrtle (McDonald) Duke.  She married Glen Harvison on June 10, 1966 in Lucedale, MS. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2008.

She was employed by George County as a Constable, appointed on March 24, 2006 until December 31, 2007, and then elected for one term beginning January 1, 2008 until December 31, 2011. She was the Senior Citizens Director from September 2, 1997 to September 30, 2007, which she enjoyed. Mrs. Melinda loved being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, but she also loved to farm and take care of her chickens, cows, and pond.

She is survived by daughter, Amanda (Donnie) Howard; son, Henry (Samantha) Harvison; two grandsons: Eric (Bre) Howard and Aaron (Veronica) Howard; four great grandchildren: Landon, Cayson, Hulda, and Melody; brother, Pete (Jean) Duke; two sister-in-law's: Judy Goff and Joanne Harvison; brother-in-law, Mike Holifield and brother in law, Charles "Buddy" Keel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Dustin Brewer and Rev. Metro Howell III officiating.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
