Michael Franklin Hilbun, age 67, of Lucedale passed away Monday, September 1, 2025 at Springhill Medical Center of Mobile, AL.  Mr. Hilbun was born September 10, 1957 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of Charles T. Hilbun Sr. and the late Birdie Clarice (Eubanks) Hilbun.  He married Janet Harvison on June 23, 1979. Mr. Hilbun worked at Ingalls shipbuilding and Halter Marine. Mr. Hilbun was also a member of the RP Bowen Masonic Lodge.

Mike received Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1978 and became a fisher of men, and a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church. He taught 5th and 6th grade boys Sunday School for 35 years. He also volunteered and served on the youth council for many years. A man who loved sports, Mike began coaching teenage boys dixie league baseball after graduating George County High School in 1975. He enjoyed attending the 50th class reunion earlier this year and was so pleased to visit with cherished and beloved friends, some of whom he had not seen since graduating. Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is his alma mater, where he studied toward attaining a law degree. Mike met Jan Harvison in 1978 and both felt they were blessed to find the very person that God intended to be their spouses.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janet (Harvison) Hilbun; sons: Michael David (Felicia) Hilbun and Charles Franklin (Erica) Hilbun; daughter: Katheryn Clarice "Krissy" (Hoyt) Williamson; grandsons: Micah, Bryce, and Judah Williamson; granddaughter: Lizzie Hilbun; father, Charles T. Hilbun Sr; sister: Joyce Hilbun; brothers: Tommy Hilbun and John Hilbun.

Preceded in death by his mother, Birdie C. Eubanks Hilbun; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Joe and Katheryn Harvison; grandparents: Paul D. Sr. and Vivian Woodard Eubanks, and Vernon F. and Edith Parker Hilbun.

The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 2165 Rocky Creek Road, Lucedale, MS with Dr. Paul Brashier officiating.  Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Friday, September 5, 2025 from 9:00am-12:00pm at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 2165 Rocky Creek Road, Lucedale, MS.
