Nell Jenean Cooley, age 94, of Lucedale passed away Monday, December 1, 2025 at Glen Oaks Nursing Home of Lucedale, MS.  Mrs. Cooley was born October 12, 1931 in Lucedale, MS. She is the daughter of the late Johnny B. and the late Rosa Lee (Langley) Seals.

She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Nell was a school nurse for George County School System for many years. She cured many children with her sweet tea and crackers.

She is survived by one son, Mark Cooley; grandchildren, John (Amanda) Cooley, Brooke Cooley, Lacey Cooley; great grandchildren, Brittany (Tyler), Justin (Payton), Sara (Calen), Chad II, Trinity, Alexa, Hollie, Allie; great great grandchildren, Emersynn, Saylor Jane, JD, Maelynn Grace, Rawlin, Lia.

Predeceased by her parents, Johnny and Rosa Seals; son, Michael Cooley.

The funeral will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. John Grimes officiating.  Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery, Lucedale.
