Netha Lee Welford, age 78, of Lucedale died Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Providence Hospital of Mobile, AL. Mrs. Welford was born December 10, 1939 in Lucedale, MS. She is the daughter of the late Columbus William and the late Mary Geneva Howell. She married Herman Rudolph Welford on March 1, 1958 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church. She was employed by Lucedale Sportswear as a Seamstress.

She is survived by her husband: Herman Rudolph "Rudy" Welford; one daughter: Faye (Mike) Courtney; granddaughter, Meliah (Brandon) Bishop; granddaughter, Chasten (Joshua) Hempstead; great granddaughter, Braylee Bishop; great granddaughter, Makenna Bishop;
one sister: Ovella Bankston and three brothers: Wilmon Howell, Douglas Howell and Harvey Ray (Lisa) Howell

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 2147 Rocky Creek Road, Lucedale, MS, Rev. Grant McLain with officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery, Lucedale.
