Nora Edna McLeod, age 98, of Lucedale died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at home in
Lucedale. Mrs. McLeod was born August 21, 1918 in Winston County, AL. She is the daughter
of the late Samuel and the late Sara Ann (Fortenberry) Knighten. She married David Franklin
"Jake" McLeod on June 24, 1934 at Sarepta, MS. She was predeceased by her husband, on
October 24, 1975.

She was a Home Maker.
Mrs. McLeod was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters: Rachel (Willis) Baggett, Mary Ann (Morgan) Farmer and
Loretta (Willard) Mason, and two sons: Charles (Barbara) McLeod and Kenneth (Linda)
McLeod, 33 grandchildren, 90 great grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Predeceased by her husband, David "Jake" McLeod, son, A. D. McLeod, son, Sam McLeod,
daughter, Geraldine McLeod, parents, Mr. & Mrs. Sam Knighten, 4 Sisters, 3 Brothers

The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main
St., Lucedale, MS with Elder Eddie Hartfield officiating. Burial will be in Sweetwater Baptist
Church Cemetery, Leakesville, MS.

Calling hours will be Saturday, March 18 from 5:00-8:00pm at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main
