Olive Ruth Parker Inman, age 80, of Hawthorne, FL passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 surrounded by family. She was born October 1, 1938 in Lucedale, MS and is the daughter of the late Willie Grady and the late Velma Ruth (Vanosdol) Parker.

She is survived by her husband: Frank Inman; two daughters: Cindy (Jake) Burkhardt and Becky (Thomas) Marshall; three grandchildren: Tyler Marshall, Tess Marshall, and Harrison Inman; family in affection: Nell Lanier and James Newman.

Olive Ruth grew up attending Salem United Methodist Church, and she graduated from Basin High School and later moved to Florida where she raised her family.

Olive Ruth was deeply involved as the Worship Leader at her Methodist church in Florida. She was also involved as a leader with the Heifer Project, a member of the Women's Club in Hawthorne, FL, a strong supporter of the Jacksonville, FL 4-H Club, and a lifetime advocate and supporter for the Florida United Methodist Children's Home.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS. Calling hours will be from 9:30-10:30am with a service to follow at 10:30 am. Rev. David Buchholz will be officiating.

Burial will be in Carter Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at Salem United Methodist Church on Salem Campground Road.

The family will provide flowers. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Florida United Methodist Children's Home (www.fumch.org or 386-668-5088) in the name of Olive Ruth Parker Inman.
