Onnie Preston "Jug" Dees, age 53, went home to be with our Lord on December 23, 2024. He was born January 11, 1971. Onnie was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Merl Sally (Stutts) Jones, Preston Dees, and John H. Hammond Sr; sisters: Anita Tolbert and Lisa (Taylor) Jones; brothers: Timothy Jones and Paul Edward Hammond.

He leaves to cherish his memory, sons: Brandon Ates Dees and Garret Ates; 4 grandchildren; mother of his children, Brandee Shelatz; mother, Lavania Hammond; brothers: Randy (Lisa) Dees, Robert (Lesa) Dees, John H. Hammond Jr., Scottie Hammond, and Ashley (Mary) Hammond sisters: Melissa Nevin Eubanks, Katherine Hammond Clark, Amanda (Raymond) Roach, Heather (John) Carroll, and Candice Brooke Hammond; special friends Tawanna Hall and Colby; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who he always told them he loved them. Onnie was devoted to his family and friends, always willing to volunteer his time and hands for help.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Macedonia Cemetery, Brushy creek Road, Lucedale, MS.
