Ottis "Huey" Elsworth Davis, born February 25, 1936, of Lucedale, Mississippi passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2026 leaving behind a lifetime of love, memories, and a legacy that will never be forgotten.

Huey was preceded in death by his mother Willie Garnis, father Rupert Davis and his three brothers Frank Davis, Bill Davis, and Russell Davis. Also, by his beloved wife, Joyce Elaine (Landon) Davis, his grandson Brady Austin Hicks, and Louise Helton.

He is survived by his three children, Dawn (Keith) Howard, Penny (Phillip) Hester, and Peggy (Robert) Nicholson. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Blake (Russell) Lashbrook, Morgan Allgood, Davis Hicks, Landon Hayden (Maggie), Andrew Hicks, Blair Hayden (Brandon), and Kaden Nicholson, along with one great-grandchild, Asher Billiot.

Huey was well known and deeply loved by the George County community. A lifelong resident of Rocky Creek, he was a familiar face to many and a friend to all. His kindness, strength, and steady presence touched countless lives.

He will be greatly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
