Patricia "Mrs. Pete" Howard Croom, age 70, of Lucedale passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 at home in Lucedale.  Mrs. Pete was born January 2, 1955 in Lucedale , MS. She is the daughter of the late Floyd "Bud" and the late Edna Mae Reeves Howard.  She married James Curtis Croom on September 22, 1972.

She was employed by John Deere as a Secretary. Mrs. Pete was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 52 years, Curtis Croom; two adored daughters and son-in-law, Missy Croom and Mandy (Jason) Byrd; cherished grandsons, David Byrd, Justin Byrd, Philip Byrd; one sister, Brinda (Jimmy) Day; three brothers, Floyd Howard Jr., Mike Howard, and Bobby Howard; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends; all of Lucedale.

The funeral will be held 3:00 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 2165 Rocky Creek Road, Lucedale, MS with Dr. Paul Brashier officiating.  Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 2:00-3:00pm at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 2165 Rocky Creek Road, Lucedale, MS

Pallbearers will be Carl Day, Daniel Day, Jason Croom, Jeffrey Croom, Heath Massey, and Jarrod Massey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chandler Croom, Keiton Croom, and Gadston Croom.
