Paul Eugene Slater, age 79, of Lucedale passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at George Regional Medical Center of Lucedale, MS.  Mr. Slater was born February 20, 1941 in Greenville, MS. He is the son of the late Luther and the late Myrtle Ann (Parr) Slater.  He married Linda Slater.

He served in the Army during the Vietnam war from 1957 to 1966.

He is survived by his wife: Linda (Slater) Slater , daughters: Debbie Slater, Paula Slater, Tonya (John) Parnell, and Felicity Slater; sons: Mike Slater, Paul (Darlene) Slater, Jr, and Trevor (Ky) Slater; sisters: June (Raymond) Flores, Pat Cassy and Tina (Sonny) Key; grandchildren; Michael Lee, Dyland, Jacob, Jasmine, Letisha, Shawn, Lynzie, Brandon, Jadyn (Cody), Jared (Amy), Landen, Austin (Maddie), Ashtin; great-grandchildren: Drevon, Trey, Lilly Beth, Treven, Colston, Paisley, Lane, Sophia, Melodee, and Kaiden.

Predeceased by his mother, Ann Slater; father, Luther Slater; sister, Jean Baker; brother, Eddie Slater; and grandchild, Cade Slater.

The funeral will be held on  Monday December 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from Barton Baptist Church, Hwy 63 South, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Brad Howard officiating.  Burial will be in Barton Baptist Church Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.

Calling hours will be Monday December 14, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Barton Baptist Church, Lucedale, MS.
