Rachel Collins, age 81 , passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at home. Mrs. Collins was born March 14, 1943. She is the daughter of the late Vernon and the late Edith Parker Hilbun.  She married John M. Collins.

Mrs. Collins was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and crafting.

She is survived by daughter, Denise (Jon) Custard; daughter, Brenda (Mark) Williams; daughter, Linda (Clyde) Ashton; daughter, Leah Collins; grandchildren, Brandon Pearson, Kayla Griffin, Shelby Griffin, Jay Custard, John Brayden Wing; great grandchildren, Aydehn Pearson and Jace Griffin; brother, Charles Hilbun; brother, James (Anita) Hilbun; brother, Donald (Patsy) Hilbun; brother, Jerry Hilbun; sister, Joy Landrum.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John M. Collins; father, Vernon F Hilbun; mother, Edith Parker Hilbun; brother, Vernon Hilbun Jr.; brother, William "Billy" Hilbun; sister, Mary Hilbun Byrd; sister-in-law, Bertie Hilbun; sister-in-law, Janet Hilbun; brother-in-law, Grady Landrum.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale.
