Ralph E. Byrd, age 94, of Lucedale, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at home in Lucedale.  Mr. Byrd was born April 9, 1927 in Chicora, MS. He is the son of the late Jessie and the late Willie (Sykes) Byrd.

He served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Byrd was employed by Walmart for many years. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by one sister; Judy Miers, Nephew; Michael B. Miers and Caregivers; Ronnie & Kathy Barrow.

Predeceased by one sister; Meady Fischer and three brothers; Edward Byrd, Cranford Byrd and William Byrd.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Magnolia Cemetery, 328 Mill Street, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Jeff Morris officiating.
