Rebecca Sue "Becky" Maples, age 59, of Lucedale, MS passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile, AL.  Mrs. Maples was born June 16, 1964 in Mobile, AL. She is the daughter of the late Johnny L. Thomas and the late Joyce L. (Hamilton) Thomas.  She married Richard Maples 41 years ago.  She was employed by Rocky Creek Elementary as a Secretary. Mrs. Maples was the pastor's wife at Benndale Church of God.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Richard Maples Sr.;one daughter, Tiffany (Stacey) Maples Fillingim of Wiggins, MS and two sons, Richard "Daniel" (Jordan) Maples II of Cleveland, TN and Ricky David (Kaylee) Ivy II of Lucedale, MS; granddaughter, Alexia Faith Maples of Cleveland, TN; grandson, Caleb Lynn Fillingim of Wiggins, MS; grandson, Malachi Zane Maples of Cleveland, TN; granddaughter, Aubry Jane Maples of Cleveland, TN; grandson, Jace Ivy of Lucedale, MS.

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Lucedale Church of God, 11 Frontage Road, Lucedale, MS.  Burial will be in Benndale Church of God Cemetery, Benndale, MS following the service.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Lucedale Church of God.
