Robert Eugene Danner, Sr., age 89, of Lucedale, MS died Thursday, September 16, 2021 at home in Lucedale. Mr. Danner was born April 7, 1932 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of the late Hugh G. Danner and the late Enda Alice (Trest) Danner. He married Betty Gene Bolton. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from the U.S. Post Office as a Postman. Mr. Danner was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Mobile, AL. A special thank you to Southern Care Hospice Services for all their wonderful care and support.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years; Betty Gene (Bolton) Danner , one daughter: Kim Danner of Port Townsend, WA and one son: Robert Eugene Danner Jr. of Wilmer, AL; granddaughter, Lydia (Don) Evans of Wilmer, AL; granddaughter, Lindsey Danner of Wilmer, AL; great grandson, Aiden Evans of Wilmer, AL.

Predeceased by his parents, Hugh & Enda Danner.

A graveside service was held 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Palestine Cemetery, 4194 Palestine Road, Wilmer, AL with Rev Brandon Hartfield officiating. Burial followed in Palestine Cemetery, Wilmer on Sunday, September 19 at 3:00 pm.
