Robert Preston Rowell, age 71, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at home in Pascagoula, MS. Mr. Rowell was born January 26, 1952 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of the late Preston Beuron and the late Emma O'Lean Parker Rowell.  He married Jewel Coco Rowell, who preceded him in death on August 24, 2022. Mr. Rowell was an operating engineer at the shipyard. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge #1120 and held the title of Past Exalted Ruler.

He was a longtime George County Rebels fan; Robert loved watching football with his daughter Melanie. He loved going to the casinos and hosting exchange students from Germany.

Robert coached football in both George County and Pascagoula. He also coached baseball with the Pascagoula Dixie Youth Baseball Association for 15 years. He enjoyed Mardi Gras and held the title "King Cosmo XXXVII" in 2000.

He is survived by daughter, Melanie Ann Rowell of Brentwood ,TN; two sisters, Emma Jean Decote of Jacksonville , FL and Christine O'Lean Jacques of Mobile, AL; one brother, Kenneth Beuron Rowell of Lucedale, MS;  Aunt/Second Mother , Annis Fay McGraw of Mobile, AL; Devoted Care Giver of 8+years, David "Dada" Mark Urias of Pascagoula, MS; Fur Babies , Canoli "Noli" and Baby Girl; Very special longtime friends, Aderia "Coco" Davis, Ellen Click, Dr. Matt Kuluz, Jeanne Allred, William Harkey & family, Pam Schock, Shirley Hunter, Sharon Ladner and Carlton Brewer; numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents, Preston Beuron (Emma O'Lean Parker) Rowell; wife, Jewel Coco Rowell; son, Robert Matthew Rowell; brother, Ferris "Bo" Ray Fallon; and two infant Children.

The funeral will be held 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS. Burial will be in Northside Baptist Church Cemetery.
