Robert Sydney Whitsett, age 78, of Semmes, AL passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024 at home in Semmes.  Mr. Whitsett was born April 17, 1946 in Birmingham, AL. He is the son of the late Sydney Grace and the late Mallie Maude Dukes Whitsett.  He married Judy Carol Lambert on July 10, 1971.

Mr. Whitsett was a member of Snow Road Missionary Baptist Church. He was an engineering draftsman. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Carol (Lambert) Whitsett; son, William Robert (Amber) Whitsett; son, Brian (Andrea) Whitsett; daughter, Kristy (Sam) Wellborn; grandchildren, Isabella Whitsett, Connor Wellborn, Aidan Wellborn; bonus daughter, Donna Whitsett; many other family friends and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Jimmy Long officiating.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
